Workout for 3/2/11, 3/3/11

3/2/11 Wednesday
I did my intervals.  7X 800m @ 4 minutes each.  I ran them at the Middle School just before Anthony's band concert.  I showed up all sweaty and steamy (and smelly too)

Next week I have to upgrade to 8X intervals and keep bumping it up one more every two weeks until I get to a dozen.  This will improve my speed.

3/3/11 Thursday
Lisa and I had a meeting at the Tigard building.  So I ran there and Lisa met me there.

New GPS Unit for the car

We've had a Garmin Nuvi 650 in our car for about 4-5 years now.  The map is hopelessly outdated.  The GPS doesn't even know how to get across the railroad tracks on our street.  I priced how much to get new maps from Garmin and the price was $79.99

Ouch!!  I couldn't believe that price because you can buy a new GPS unit for that price.  So I did just that.  I stopped by Costco on my lunch break today and I picked up a Magellan RoadMate 2036-MU for $79.99.  Pretty pathetic that it was a better deal to buy an entirely new unit than to upgrade the maps.
